The Government of Karnataka- Dept. of Minorities have announced scholarships for students belonging to the minority communities pursuing education from Std. I to X.
Who can apply ?
Applications are invited from the students belonging to the minority communities pursuing education from class I to X in Government / Government Aided / Recognized Private Schools / Institutions for Pre-Matric Scholarship to be awarded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India.
Conditions
- To be eligible, Student should have scored not less than 50% of marks in previous final examination. In case of Class-I students, 50% marks requirement will not apply, only the income criteria will be applicable.
- The annual income of the student's parents/ guardian from all sourses should not exceed Rs. 1 Lakh (One Lakh). Enclose attested copy of Income Certificate issued by Tahsildar or Original Income Affidavit.
- The students who have been sanctioned scholarship for 2010-11 are eligible to apply for renewal for 2011-12, on scoring 50% and above marks in the previous examination.
- Applications received after the last date will not be considered.
- Incomplete Application and Incomplete documents will not be considered.
How to apply?

- Fill up the application form & Submit the same to the concerned school Principal/ Head Master on or before 20 July 2011.
- The School Head Master / Principal should collect the application forms from the students and, prepare a list of candidates in a prescribed format provided by the department separately for fresh and renewal and submit the application forms along with the list of students to their concerned BEOs on or before - 30 July 2011.
Important Note:
- Applications sent directly to the Directorate of Minorities will not be considered.
- Last date for Students to submit filled in Applications to their respective schools - 20 July 2011
- Last date for School Head Masters/ Principals to submit the list of students of their schools to B.E.O's - 30 July 2011
