Quran Campaign Program - Bangalore North Unit

The Quran campaign was observed with full zeal from the cadre of SIO Bangalore North Unit from 6th may as per the campaign dates. Every day of the campaign was fulfilled with the learning of the different concepts, terms and different aspects of the Quran. During the whole campaign the cadre was motivated to recite the Quran and documentaries were also shown in this regard. The program was scheduled on every evening from Maghrib to Isha at sa’ad bin Abi Waqaas Masjid, R T Nagar. The concluding program was held on 15th may at 10:30 am at the same venue. Around 25 cadres were present with Zonal Representative Br. Syed Kazim (ZAC) concluding the program and appealing them to hold fast to the Quran and addressing the Cadre he said that the campaign has not come to an end but it has started now.

Students Islamic Organisation of India has been engaged in various student welfare activities from past 28 years across the nation. Having education & students as prime focus, SIO wants to build a healthy society on the basis of moral and humanitarian values. In order to achieve said objective SIO has been conducting various activities and campaigns from time to time on various issues. Educational awareness campaign is one of such activity which has been observed from about two decades continuously for the betterment of the educational condition. This year Educational Awareness Campaign will be observed from 20th May to 30th May 2011 with the central theme “Education My Identity”. Summer Islamic Camps throughout Bangalore City

The Units of SIO- Bangalore organized Summer Islamic Camps at various places for boys with an objective to impart true Islamic knowledge and understanding of the Islamic Movement. SIO Bangalore North Conducted Summer Classes for Children at two places one at R T Nagar at Sa’d bin Abi Waqaus Masjid and the other at Yeshwanthpur at Mehmood Sherrif Polytechnic College. There were around 130 students who benefitted from the classes. The children were given the fundamental knowledge of Islam and its etiquettes were thought to them in the practical manner. They were also made to involve in many team building activities and talents hunt activities. SIO Bangalore South conducted Summer Islamic camp at Islamic Center from 19th to 29th April. With 59 registrations from Tilak Nagar and BTM it was a great success. Protest against Engineering Fee Hike

Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO)- Bangalore organized a peaceful protest at Town Hall on the 5th of May 2011 in order to condemn the fee hike in the Bachelor of Engineering (BE) course. Students from different parts of the city participated in the protest. Later a Memorandum was submitted to the District Commissioner (DC) and the students informed him to take necessary step in this regard.

Protest against PUC paper leak

Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO)- Bangalore organized a protest in front of the DC's office on the 24th of March 2011 in order to condemn the Physics question paper leak of the on going PUC examinations. The Memorandum was submitted to the DC and the cadre informed him to take strict action against the culprits involved in the leak. The City President Br. Syed Kazim addressed the media and demanded that the Government take strict action in this issue.
