The Units of SIO- Bangalore organized Summer Islamic Camps at various places for boys with an objective to impart true Islamic knowledge and understanding of the Islamic Movement.
SIO Bangalore North Conducted Summer Classes for Children at two places one at R T Nagar at Sa’d bin Abi Waqaus Masjid and the other at Yeshwanthpur at Mehmood Sherrif Polytechnic College. There were around 130 students who benefitted from the classes. The children were given the fundamental knowledge of Islam and its etiquettes were thought to them in the practical manner. They were also made to involve in many team building activities and talents hunt activities.
SIO Bangalore South conducted Summer Islamic camp at Islamic Center from 19th to 29th April. With 59 registrations from Tilak Nagar and BTM it was a great success.
The first session of every day was a session on explaining the small Surahs of the Quran and using that explaining the basic concepts of Islam. The next Islamic Morals class taught the students the basics of Islam which was used as a platform to teach good manners and etiquettes to the kids. A dedicated one hour session every day was kept to encourage all round development of the kids where various activities like video display, games like pick-and-speak, recitations etc… were held.The trip to HAL Museum was highly informative and also was a great success. The younger kids thoroughly enjoyed the large display of planes and helicopters while the older boys were inspired towards army and air force services.
Janab Dr. Taha Mateen Sab addressed the gathering on the conclusion program and imbibed thankfulness into the kids. His speech was very much inspiring for the kids.
Bangalore Central Unit organized a residential camp which was conducted from 4th May to 8th May 2011. The Camp was held at Al-Ameen Residential School. Around 35 students attended the camp. The Camp was based on five themes, one theme focused per day. The themes were:
1. Who am I?
2. Who is God?
3. What is Society?
4. What Now?
5. What Next?
