Last Bangalore City Tarbiyati Program of 2014

The last Tarbiyati Program was held on 21 st December 2014 at Masjid-e-Rahma from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. The program began with three book reviews by the cadre. The program was followed by a talk by Janab Tanveer Ahmed (Managing Director – Kapoor Hospitality) on the topic ‘Knowledge Culture – Importance and Methodology’. The next talk was by Janab Ameenul Hasan (CAC Member – JIH) on the topic, ‘Importance of HRD in the Islamic Movement’. The post lunch session started with a talk by Br. Zaheer (Red Hat Certified Engineer – Shell) on the topic ‘Role of Muslim Youth in a Multi-Cultural Society’. The program was followed by a Quiz and Report Presentation. The program concluded with a talk by Br. Syed Kazim (City President). More than 40 people attended the program.  

Ruya – Inter School Fest

SIO – Jayanagar Unit successfully conducted an inter school fest on 17 th December 2014 from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, at Islamic Centre, Tilaknagar. Student from CES School, NES School and Tilak School participated in the competition. The program began with a talk by Br. Syed Kazim (President – SIO of India – Bangalore). Various programs like Debate, Collage, Creative Writing, Dumb Charades, Memory Test and Quiz were conducted. Br. Tawab Chowdhury (Nazim – Tilaknagar) and Br. Sayeed Ahmed Kotwal (Secretary – SIO of India – Karnataka Zone) addressed the gathering in the valedictory ceremony. CES won the overall championship. More than 50 students attended the program.  

Ruya – Inter School Fest

SIO Jayanagar Unit is conducted an inter school fest on 17 th December 2014 at Islamic Centre, Jayanagar. The objective of the fest is to provide a platform for the students to exhibit their talent and to learn moral values during the process. The fest will feature various events like creative writing, quiz, memory test, debate, collage and dumb charades. The fest committee team is headed by Br. Aamir (Member – SIO Jayanagar). Students are expected to participate in huge numbers. It is the first time Jayanagar Unit is organising an event in such a la rge scale. 

Collage Competition

BTM Unit conducted a Collage Competition on the topic “ Good vs Bad” for the high school students of Noor School, Ilyas Nagar, Banashankari. 10 teams participated in the competition. Winners were given books and stationary products. The program concluded with a speech by Professor Mahboob on “ Good vs Bad”. The management of the school appreciated the activated and invited SIO to conduct many such programs in the future.

Written Test and Interviews conducted by ‘Tech for Change’

‘Tech for Change’, the engineering forum of SIO Bangalore City conducted a written test and interviews for students of Al-Ameen College on 6 th December 2014. The objective of the activity was to select students who can take up socially helpful project. The program began with an introductory talk by Br. Fazal, followed by a written test by the students, which was followed by a technical interview by Br. Reehan, Br. Musaib and Br. Shayan. The final interview was taken by Br. Mujahid and Br. Omer Farooq. A total of four students were selected as interns. We hope that all these students will take up projects will be beneficial for the society.
