SIO-BANGALORE

SIO Jayanagar Unit organised a table tennis tournament for the students and youth in their area. The objective of the tournament was to bring in fresh blood into the unit. 12 people participated in the tournament. Br. Taha won the first place, Br. Waseem won the second place and Br. Zia was awarded a consolation prize. The tournament was held at Islamic Centre – Tilaknagar. Br. Syed Kazim (City President – SIO of India – Bangalore) was the chief guest. In his speech he asked the participants to give important to physical fitness. He also said to thank Allah (swt) was giving us good health and motivated the participants to make effective utilisation of their good health by struggling and striving in the way of Allah.

BTM Unit distributed note books to students at Janardhana Kannada Primary School, 8 th D Main, BTM 1 st Stage. 140 note books were distributed to 70 needy students of the School from various communities of the society. 

On the last day of members meet, three SIO members from Bangalore were felicitated for their hard work. Br. Abid and Br. Yusuf were felicitated for their dedicated and hard work they put in to design the Zone’s annual magazine ‘IMAGE’. Br. Akheel was also felicitated for preparing a report of ‘Philosophy of Knowledge’. Janab Atharullah Shareef (Zonal Patron - SIO), Br. Ashfaq Ahmed Shareef (National President - SIO) and Br. Touseef Ahmed (Zonal President – SIO) felicitated them respectively. Br. Yusuf and Br. Akheel were there to receive the gift. In the absence of Br. Abid, his younger brother Br. Hamid received the award.  Br. Syed Kazim (City President – SIO Bangalore) congratulates them for the commitment in the path of Allah and prayed that they would continue to struggle in the way of Allah through their talent, time and money.

SIO Bangalore City conducted a Press Conference on the occasion of Members Meet at Bidar. The conference was conducted on 31 st October 2014 at the Bangalore Press Club. Br. Ammar Mansoor (PR Secretary – Bangalore City) and Br. Hannan addressed the press conference. More than 10 press reporters were present during the occasion.
