Tarbiyati Program – October 2014

The Bangalore City Tarbiyati Program was conducted from 4:00 pm on 25 th to 8 am on 26 th October 2014. The program was held at BIFT. The program started with a Doubles Table Tennis Tournament which was won by Br. Hamid and Br. Aaquib. The program was followed by presentation on FDI in Retail, Pornography and Political Scenario in India by Br. Awez, Br. Omer and Br. Asif. Later the program was followed by a short film screening session. A talk on the topic ‘Lessons from the life of Ibrahim (as) was delivered by Janab Shaik Haroon (President – JIH Bangalore North). The first day’s program concluded with a tableau presentation by different units. The second day’s program began with Tahajjud Salah, followed by individual recitation of Quran, Fajar Salah and Zikir. A Quran Study Circle was conducted where Br. Muhammad, Br. Zeeshan, Br. Spectacular conclusion to Youth Revoltion Cup - Season 1

The grand presentation ceremony was held at Islamia Institute of Technology on 28th September 2014 at 4:30 pm. Mr. Anthony Samuels (Former Indian Football Player) was the Chief Guest and Mr. Christy (Former Indian Football Player) was the Guest of Honour for the tournament. The other guest who were present during the presentation ceremony were Mr. Habibullah Khan (Managing Partner – Beacon Builders), Mr. Raheem Khan (Incharge – BIFT Book Shop and Library) and Mr. Tawab Chowdhury (Nazim – JIH Tilak Nagar). The Chief Guest congratulated the winners and encouraged all the players to play better in the future. A total of 11 matches were played in the tournament. Team Al-Noor were the Winners and Team Martial Defenders were the Runner. Br. Syed Kazim (City President – SIO of India) and Mr. Ibrahim Sayeed (Convener – Youth Revolution Cup) were also present. The tournament concluded on a positive note.

Youth Revolution Cup - Inaugration

The Youth Revolution Cup began with an inaugural ceremony on 27th September 2014 at 8:30 am at Islamia Institute of Technology. Mr. Thouseef Ahmed Madikeri (Zonal President – SIO of India, Karnataka Zone) was the Chief Guest for the Inaugural Function. He urged the players and audience to play with true sportsman ship spirit and also highlighted the negative impact of cricket in India in the past. The inauguration was formally done when Mr. Touseef Ahmed Madikeri faced a ball by Mr. Ibrahim Sayeed (Convener – Youth Revolution Cup). Twelve teams participated in the tournament. The first match was played between Arikere Tuskers and Al-Noor. BIFT Book and Media Shop were the official sponsors of the tournament. Mr. Syed Kazim (City President – SIO of India) was also present.

Youth Revolution Cup - Trophy unveiled

Br. Kabeer (Campus Secretary – SIO of India, Karnataka Zone) and Br. Syed Kazim (City President – SIO of India, Bangalore City) unveiled the Trophy of the ‘Youth Reformation Cup’. Twelve teams will battle it out for the trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 11,000 for the winners and Rs. 5,500 for the runners. The tournament will be held on 27th and 28th September 2014 at Islamia Institute of Technology Ground.

Teachers Day

On the eve of Teachers Day, the members of SIO BTM Unit visited the Government Schools in BTM and gifted all teachers a greeting card. Teachers were very happy and openly discussed with us their concerns.  

Cricket Tournament

Students Islamic Organisation of India – Bangalore in associate with Islamiah Institute of Technology is organising a Cricket tournament on 27th September Institute of Technology Cricket Ground. The logo of the tournament was launched by Br. Syed Kazim (Bangalore City President). Br. Ashfaq Ahmed (ZAC member), Br. Hameid (ZAC Member), Br. Ammar Mansoor (PR Secretary), Br. Akheel (Unit President –BTM) were present on the occasion.  The Cricket Tournament is organised with an objective to promote brotherhood and to promote physical activism and fitness among the students and youths.

Tarbiyati Program – Nandi Hills

The 4 th tarbiyati program of Bangalore City in 2014 was conducted in Nandi Hills on 7 th September 2014. The program was filled with inspirational talks and outdoor activities. The program was organised at Nandi Hills to give a new approach to tarbiyati programs. The program began with a talk by Br. Mizbah spoke on ‘Quran and Nature’. Br. Hameid (ZAC Member) spoke on ‘Uniform Civil Code’ and Br. Ashfaq (ZAC Member) spoke on the topic, ‘Believer is a brother of other Believer’. The program was followed by Zohar Salah, lunch and a team building game. The program concluded by a talk by Br. Syed Kazim (City President – SIO of India – Bangalore). More than 60 people participated in the program.
