The Youth Revolution Cup began with an inaugural ceremony on 27th September 2014 at 8:30 am at Islamia Institute of Technology. Mr. Thouseef Ahmed Madikeri (Zonal President – SIO of India, Karnataka Zone) was the Chief Guest for the Inaugural Function. He urged the players and audience to play with true sportsman ship spirit and also highlighted the negative impact of cricket in India in the past.
The inauguration was formally done when Mr. Touseef Ahmed Madikeri faced a ball by Mr. Ibrahim Sayeed (Convener – Youth Revolution Cup). Twelve teams participated in the tournament. The first match was played between Arikere Tuskers and Al-Noor. BIFT Book and Media Shop were the official sponsors of the tournament. Mr. Syed Kazim (City President – SIO of India) was also present.
