Eid Get-Together in Bengaluru

Eid is an occasion to rejuvenate our relationship with the Creator and to thank Him for the bounties given to us. It also gives us an opportunity to meet and share our joy with our Non-Muslim brethren. In this background, SIO Bengaluru City in collaboration with SIO Karnataka Zone organised an Eid Get-Together program on 24th June 2018 at the Institute of Agricultural Technologists, Bengaluru.  The chief guests for the program were: Justice Santhosh Hegde (Former Lokayutka, Karnataka) Dr. Javed Jamil (Dy. SIO Bengaluru is organising an Eid Get-Together program for people of all faith on 24th June 2018. The program will begin at 6:30 P.M. onward at The Institute of Agricultural Technologists. Dawah Stall near Ramaiah College by Yeshwantpur Unit

"Ramzan is the blessed month in which the Quran was revealed."   With this message in mind and with a zeal to spread the message of Islam, SIO Yeshwantpur Unit setup a Dawah Stall near Ramaiah College on 10th June 2018. The visitors to the stall were gifted with a snack kit and in brief explained about the message of Ramzan.  Sharing the experience of the Dawah Stall, Br. Ahtesham (Unit President, SIO Yeshwantpur) wrote, "Alhamdulilla, out of all the street dawah's done by our unit, this can be called quite successful one not because we were able to reach an audience of approx 80-100 ppl but we had a variety of people including transgenders, security guards, daily wage workers, students, family and many more. One man also asked how to become a muslim and exchanged his number to have a session separately. My take away from this activity was that we indeed are having a great message  and a large audience is waiting to hear it!  A snack kit of just Rs.5...

Taqraat Program by RT Nagar and B'lore East Unit

The 3rd Taqraat of Ramzan (9-10 June 2018) was jointly observed by the cadre of RT Nagar and Bangalore East Units at Masjid-e-Saad Bin Waqqas. The program started with a talk on "Fikr-e-Akhirat" by Br. Rafeeq Ahmed (Zonal President, SIO Karnataka). Addressing the gathering, Br. Rafeeq stressed on the need to ponder over our hereafter and how the Sahabah (RA) spent their lives keeping in mind the hereafter in front of them.  Later, Janab Atharulla Sharief Saab (President, JIH Karnataka) spoke on "Transformation of Society", motivating the cadre to revisit the history of Islam and derive lessons from it to bring a change in society.   A Quran Study Circle was later conducted by Br. Abdul Hameed (ZAC Member, SIO Karnataka) on "The Wisdom of Luqman" in which verses 13-18 of Surah Luqman were discussed. Shampur Unit conducts session on Ramadan in Siddique Urdu Higher Primary School

SIO Shampur Unit organised a special session for the students of Siddique Urdu Higher Primary School on 6th June 2018. Hafiz Br. Owais (BE Student, MSRIT) interacted with the students on "The Importance of Ramadan in our lives" and motivated them to make effective use of the blessed month. Around 70 students from 5th Std. to 7th Std. got benefited from the session.  SIO Shampur Unit will be conducting regular classes for the students of this school after Ramadan. Anyone who wishes to volunteer and get involved can contact Br. Musaib (9738337487). 

SIO Bengaluru Ramadhan Iftar Get-Together 2018

  Ramadhan provides the best opportunity for Muslims to reach out to their Non-Muslim brethren and present the message of Islam. In this context, SIO Bengaluru City organised an Iftar Get-Together for students and youth of all faiths at Salam Centre, Jaynagar, on 3rd June 2018.   Shri Shivarudra Swamiji of Beli Matha; Rev. Dr. Mohan Chandra Prasad - Pastor, CSI Church; and Br. Abdul Hameed - Member, SIO K'taka ZAC addressed the gathering on the occasion. More than 120 students and youth participated in the Iftar Get-Together, including appx. 50 Non-Muslims. 

Yaum-e-Badr Program at RT Nagar Unit

To remember the sacrifices of the early Muslims in the Battle of Badr which took place in 2AH, SIO RT Nagar Unit organised a special program at Masjid-e-Saab Bin Waqqas on 2nd June 2018. Janab Atharulla Sharief Saab (President, JIH Karnataka) presented the context in which the battle took place. He also explained and elaborated the need to be connected with our history, to derive lessons and inspiration from the Battle of Badr in/for present context. Around 60 students and youth of the unit attended the program.

Iftar for ICC students at Jaynagar

SIO Jaynagar Unit organised an Iftar Get-Together program for the ICC students of the unit on 28th May 2018. The Iftar was organised at Salam Centre, Jaynagar and was attended by 24 ICC students. Br. Mazhar Yahya (Member, SIO) spoke about "The Importance of Ramzan, Saum and Quran" and later Br. Amir Choudary (Unit Secretary, SIO Jaynagar) spoke on "The Importance of Dua and the Dua of Prophets". 

SIO Bangalore conducts program at Ghousia ITI

As part of Ramzan activities, SIO Bangalore City conducted a session on "The message of Ramzan for students and youth" on 28th May 2018 at Ghousia ITI, Hosur Road. The session was conducted after Zohar Salah at the institution's Prayer Hall. Br. Aqeel (City President, SIO Bangalore) addressed the gathering of around 100 students from the institution. This is the first ever program conducted by SIO Bangalore at Ghousia ITI. The Bangalore City team of SIO is looking forward for more such initiatives in the institute.  

Summer Islamic Camp by BTM Unit

BTM Unit organised a Summer Islamic Camp for the students of 5th to 10th std. from 19th April to 22nd April 2018. The camp was conducted at the SIO office of BTM Unit. A variety of topics were covered during the course of the summer camp, including: Iman-e-Mufassal Etiquette of Life  Akhlaqiyat Seerah of Nabi (PBUH) Stories of Sahaba (RA) Video and Documentary Screenings Fun Activities Outdoor Games, etc Overall, a very conducive environment for the holistic development of the students was provided during the summer camp.  In total, 16 students benefited from the summer camp.  (To know more about the various activities conducted at BTM Unit, please contact: Br. Inter-Unit Tazkiya Program

As part of SIO Karnataka's Tazkiya Campaign, 3 units of Bangalore (BTM Unit, Bangalore East Unit and Jayanagar Unit) organised a combined Tazkiya Program from 10th February 2018 after maghrib to 11th February 2018 morning at Salaam Centre, Jayanagar. The objective of the campaign and the program was to develop inter-personal relations among the SIO members and associates. Keeping the objective in mind, various activities were conducted, namely: Quran Study Circle Indoor and Outdoor Games Book Review Cultural Session Case Studies   More than 60 students and youth from different units of SIO Bangalore participated in the program.

Many Religions One India" Brotherhood Camapign Launching Program

" Many Religions One India" Brotherhood Camapign Launching Program at Bangalore Press Club Hall on 2 May 2017. Sri Veerabhadhra Chennamall Swamiji, Rev. Prasad, Jb. KM Ashraf Saheb, S. Parab Joth Singh Bali, Maulana Maqsood Imran Rashadi were the speakers of the program. The speakers empahasised the importance of brotherhood for a better tomorrow. Mohammed Rafeeq, President, SIO Karnataka delivered the Presidential Address of the program.

SIO Bangalore City Leaders 2015

Br. Sadaqat Faqi Mulla was elected as the Bangalore City President for 2015. He is a Software Engineer by profession; he has served the organisation as the Zonal PR Secretary in the year 2014 and he is currently the Zonal Advisory Council Member of SIO Karnataka Zone.   Dr. Naseem Ahmed was appointed as the Bangalore City Secretary for 2015. He has completed his BUMS from Government Unani Medical College, Bangalore. He has served as the organisation as the RT Nagar Unit Secretary in the year 2014. We pray that Allah gives the leaders the strength, capability and wisdom to lead the city by example and take the activities of the city to greater heights.
