Eid is an occasion to rejuvenate our relationship with the Creator and to thank Him for the bounties given to us. It also gives us an opportunity to meet and share our joy with our Non-Muslim brethren. In this background, SIO Bengaluru City in collaboration with SIO Karnataka Zone organised an Eid Get-Together program on 24th June 2018 at the Institute of Agricultural Technologists, Bengaluru.
The chief guests for the program were:
- Justice Santhosh Hegde (Former Lokayutka, Karnataka)
- Dr. Javed Jamil (Dy. Director, Head of Chair in Islamic Studies and Research, Yenopoya University, Mangalore)
- Mr. Akbar Ali (Zonal Advisory Member, JIH Karnataka)
- Mr. Mohammed Rafeeq (President, SIO Karnataka)
Speaking on the occasion, the guests highlighted the various challenges facing the country and how bridging the gap between communities will make us more stronger as a nation.
The program was attended by students, activists, NGOs and other individuals from various cultural backgrounds.
