SIO-BANGALORE

Campus Lectures were conducted in 3 schools, namely Silicon City Public School (Indranagar), Silicon City Pubic School (HAL) and Oxford School on the theme “SAVE – Water, Food, Paper, Electricity & Petrol”.   Around 400 students were addressed. After the lecture, students were given a card which has time table format at one side and an appeal at the another where the students had to promise that they will not save water, food, paper, electricity and petrol and they will not waste it. 

Tarbiyati program was conducted from 5 pm on 16 th  November to 8 am on 17 th  November 2013. The program began with a table tennis tournament followed by a presentation on ‘ Creative Thinking’. Later a question and answer session was organised with Br. Touseef Ahmed (Zonal President). After dinner the program continued with a documentary viewing titled ‘History of India’ which was then followed by a cultural session. The next day began with the Fajar Salah followed by individual recitation of Quran. The program continued with Quran Study Circle, presentations by was successfully done by Br. Omer and Br. Noman and the session was concluded by Dr. Khursheed Saab.  The program concluded with a speech by Br. Syed Kazim. Around 15 people attended the program.

SIO Pulikeshinagar Unit organised Tarbiyati Program for the month of October at Masjid-e-Rizwan at HAL. The program began with a talk on ‘Importance of Ijtimaeyat’ by Br. Syed Kazim. The program was followed by a book review session where various associates presented their views on a particular book; the session was concluded by Br. Zubair. The program was followed by a talk on ‘The concept of Islam’ by Maulan Tahir Khasmi. The program was continued by Br. Mudassir and Br. Adnan who spoke on ‘Importance of Dawah’ and ‘Impact of Pornography’ respectively. The program concluded with Quran Study Circle after Fajar Salah. More than 20 people attended the program. 

Pulikeshinagar Unit of SIO Bangalore organised its monthly Tarbiyati program at Lalbagh.  The program began with recitation of Quran and a Tarana by Br. Adnan and Br. Mujahid respectively. The program was followed by book reviews by Br. Taufeeq and Br. Adi. After Zohar Salah and Lunch, the program continued with a Quran Study Circle. Verses relating to environment were discussed, the Quran study circle was conclude by Br. Mumtaz Mansoori. The program also featured a Dawah field work, where the members and associates met non-Muslims and spoke to them about Islam and gave then a small book on Islam. Br. Mudassir spoke on the topic, “Ill Effects of Interest”, the talk was followed by Question and Answer session. The program concluded with a talk by Br. Syed Kazim. 

In order to create awareness on the harmful effects of interest, Pulikeshi Nagar Unit conducted a series of campus lectures on the topic “Ill Effects of Interest”.  The lecture was delivered in various colleges of Bangalore namely, Satya Jyothi College, Westline College,  Quwwatul Islam Degree College and  Quwwatul Islam PU College .   A folder titled, “The danger of Riba” was distributed to the students after the lecture. More than 1000 students were addressed during the lecture drive.
