SIO-Bangalore South Unit organised its first Tazkiya Program of this year on the 19th of January 2013 at Islamic Centre, Jayanagar. The program included a discussion on the topic "Revolution is possible by Youth". Members and Associates of the Unit attended the program and participated in the discussion. 

As part of the ongoing RTE Campaign, SIO-Bangalore South Unit conducted a Survey and Door-to-Door Awareness program on the 27th of January 2013 in the slum area of Ilyas Nagar. The members met with the local residents and educated them regarding Right to Education. 

SIO Bangalore Malayali unit organised a get-together for malayali students.  Br. Shafeek koduvally (solidarity kozhikode district council member) addressed the students.

SIO Bangalore Observed a Protest against the Saffronisation of Education in freedom park Bangalore, in accordance with the state wide protest of SIO Karnataka. A memorandum was also submitted to the DC of Bangalore demanding to take necessary action before the textbooks are printed.

Bangalore Central Unit observed a Cultural Night on 16th Feb 2012 at BIFT. Around 20-25 students participated in the event. Performances such as Singing of Nasheeds, Taranas, Recitation of Poems, Sher-O-Shayari, Comedy, etc., was performed by the participants. The program marked the beginning of the nation wide 'Popular Culture Campaign' of SIO.
