Media Workshop

A media Workshop was conducted to train members of the Media Activists Group started by SIO Bangalore. The workshop started by a Presentation on the topic "Road to Web Activism" By Asim Khan. Brother Imran spoke on the topic "How to write letters to Editor". He also explained How one can create his own space in the web and print media. The program concluded with the planning and distribution of work among the Media Activists.

Educational Awareness Rally in HAL

SIO Bangalore Central Unit conducted an Educational awareness rally at Islampur locality of HAL as part of its educational awareness campaign. A numbers of Students partcipated in the rally. Br. Syed Kazim, city public relation secretary inaugrated the rally and addressed the gathering.

Education Awareness Rally in Tilaknagar

A rally was organised by SIO of India Bangalore South unit in the Tilaknagar area to mark the conclusion of education awareness campaign. Inagurating the rally Br. Saadat Zaki Mulla, Zonal Secretary SIO of India Karnataka stressed the need of education and to play the pivotal role in the national development. He also appealed the elite section of the society to take care of educational need of under previlaged children. Br. Shahid Muhiyuddin, Zonal Joint Secretary,Br. Abdul Azeez, Regional Expansion Secretary and City Secretary Imran C were present on the ocassion. Around 130 students took part in the rally.

Protest Against attack on Indian Students in Australia

As the spate of attacks against Indian students continued in Australia, the Students Islamic Organizations of India (SIO) – Bangalore conducted a protest near Mahatma Gandhi Statue to protest against the racial attacks on Indian students in Australia and to express our sympathy to victims and there families. SIO - Bangalore demands that the Indian Government put pressure on the Australian Government to ensure that such attacks do not continue and the culprits are punished as soon as possible.

EDUCATION GUIDANCE CELL FORMED BY SIO BANGALORE

Education Guidance Cell has been formed by SIO Bangalore and a training program was conducted on 19-04-09 to train the counsellors. The counsellors will individually counsel SSLC and PUC students to guide them to the right course depending on there interest, skills and aptitude. The counsellors will also provide information about various courses available after SSLC and PUC and also the various scholarship schemes available in Karnataka . Br Meraj , Lecturer, Management Department, Al Ameen College is the Convener of the Education Guidance Cell - SIO Bangalore. Dr Ali Khwaja , Phd in Psychology , Director - Banjara Academy explained the Techniques of Educational counselling. sio protests against attacks on students in mangalore

The activists of Students Islamic Organisation (SIO) of India staged a protest in front of Deputy Commissioners office on Saturday condemning the attacks taking place on the student community across the district in the recent days. A large number of students took part in the demonstration holding placards that read “Break the silence, stop the violence”- the theme of the SIO campaign. Addressing the protesters, SIO State President Showkat Ali K said the assaults on the innocent did not reflect the capacity of the attackers but their cowardness and weakness. “Violence has never been victorious. It is only love and reconciliation that can win the wars,” he noted. SIO Condemns attacks on Palestine Students Islamic Organisation of India, Bangalore city cadres protested against Israeli barbarism on innocent peoples of Gaza.
