Bangalore Central Unit observed a Cultural Night on 16th Feb 2012 at BIFT. Around 20-25 students participated in the event. Performances such as Singing of Nasheeds, Taranas, Recitation of Poems, Sher-O-Shayari, Comedy, etc., was performed by the participants. The program marked the beginning of the nation wide 'Popular Culture Campaign' of SIO.

The Elections for the Regional President and City President were held on the 18th of December 2011 at Masjid-e-Saad bin Waqqas. Br. Asim Khan of Bangalore South Unit has been elected as the Regional President of Bangalore Region for the term 2012 while Br. SIO- Bangalore Central Unit started its program in Yaseen Nagar area in the blessed month of Ramadan. The program was attended by students belonging to Yaseen Nagar. The program will be scheduled on every Sunday from Asr to Maghrib. Hope this area emerges as one of the best in Bangalore and fulfills the mission of SIO.   

A cricket match was played between Bangalore North Unit and Bangalore Central Unit at the HMT Playground in RT Nagar on the 31st of July 2011. The cadre who took part in the competition showed a great sense of sportsmanship.     With Bangalore North winning the toss and selecting to bat first, a well executed target of 77 runs in 10 overs was set for the Bangalore Central Unit. Later on the excellent partnership between Br. Atheeq and Br. Adil enabled the Bangalore Central team to chase the score and win the match in another 10 balls to spare. Br. Atheeq was declared 'Man of the Match' for his terrific all round performance.    

The Bangalore Central Unit organized a Students Meet on the 30th of July 2011 at Shampur. The program was organized in order to make the students understand the message of Ramzan and to make effective utilization of it. Also the students were encouraged to make this month an opportunity to spread the message of Islam among the non-Muslim brothers.   Br. Syed Kashif (Unit President- Bangalore North) and Br. Shoaib Mohammed (PR Secretary) spoke on 'The importance of Dawah' and 'How to use Ramzan effectively?'

The Units of SIO- Bangalore organized Summer Islamic Camps at various places for boys with an objective to impart true Islamic knowledge and understanding of the Islamic Movement. SIO Bangalore North Conducted Summer Classes for Children at two places one at R T Nagar at Sa’d bin Abi Waqaus Masjid and the other at Yeshwanthpur at Mehmood Sherrif Polytechnic College. There were around 130 students who benefitted from the classes. The children were given the fundamental knowledge of Islam and its etiquettes were thought to them in the practical manner. They were also made to involve in many team building activities and talents hunt activities. SIO Bangalore South conducted Summer Islamic camp at Islamic Center from 19th to 29th April. With 59 registrations from Tilak Nagar and BTM it was a great success. SIO Bangalore Central Unit conducted an Educational awareness rally at Islampur locality of HAL as part of its educational awareness campaign. A numbers of Students partcipated in the rally. Br. Syed Kazim, city public relation secretary inaugrated the rally and addressed the gathering.
